Trees are essential to our survival. They help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Forests also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.
In other words, trees are vital to our health and well-being. Yet despite all of these benefits, we are still losing forests at an alarming rate. Every year, an estimated 15 billion trees are lost due to deforestation, and if we don’t take action soon, we could lose these vital ecosystems forever. We must do everything we can to protect our forests and the creatures that call them home. Only then can we hope to create a healthy and sustainable future for all.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to global reforestation. The organization makes it simple for anyone to help the environment and support healthy forests.
